Moshi vs Omen - Jeff Mission
Excerpt from a live VJ performance by Doktor Hoo, Jeff Mission, and Karen Lane, during a set by Moshi vs. Omen at Axis nightclub, Boston, MA. Moshi vs. Omen is a hybrid electronic act - a DJ set with live keyboards layered on top. It's a nice combination - the precision of a perfectly locked rhythm, matched with the fluidity of live synth melodies. Mixing live cameras with abstract imagery, the VJs create a dream-like visual remix of the moment as it is happening...

Mogwai Live - Jeff Mission
Excerpt from a VJ set by VJ Massta (Shawn Faherty), VJ Zebbler (Peter Berdovsky), Karen Lane, and Jeff Mission during a performance by Mogwai at Club Infinity, Buffalo, NY. Road trip! Four members of Boston's Glitch Crew made the trip from Boston to Buffalo to perform live visuals at the Hybrid Festival alongside sonic experimentalists Mogwai. A blend of live cameras, custom 3D animations made in Touch, and fuzzed-out feedback provided the backdrop for Mogwai's buzzing psychedelic wall of sound.

Human Orchestra - Jeff Mission
Excerpt from a live VJ mix by Doktor Hoo, Jeff Mission, and Karen Lane during a live performance by Kenny Muhammad (The Human Orchestra) at Axis nightclub, Boston, MA. Beatboxer Kenny Muhammad is a one-man audiovisual show. During sound check, I was up on stage hanging projectors, and I stopped cold so I could watch his vocal pyrotechnics as he warmed up. During his performance, our VJ and camera team blended multiple close-up shots so the audience could see them too.
